We're looking for a ninja LAMP developer to work on SeatGeek's backend. The ideal candidate will have a particularly strong background in web scraping and working with large databases. He/she will appreciate building simple, elegant code to solve difficult problems. He/she will report directly to the CTO.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
** Build backend features as SeatGeek expands into new ticket verticals
** Design scraping processes to gather data that drives SeatGeek's algorithm
** Manage the SeatGeek's data platform, constantly pushing for optimal replication, storage, and speed to protect current data and to streamline our data gathering processes
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
** Extensive experience building high-performance web apps with PHP and MySQL (the hiring decision will be largely based on what you've built)
** Familiarity with agile development
** Fanatical about writing clean, well-commented code
** Ability to write complex SQL queries
** Expertise in MySQL data warehousing
** Javascript/AJAX/Prototype skills are a plus, but are not necessary
** Experience with the Symfony framework is a plus, but is not necessary
